Host a SNOWFEST Event

2026 Event registration is open!

Promote your business, raise money for a local non profit, contribute to your community and have a great time doing it! Each year North Tahoe business and organizations host over 50 mountain town events during our annual winter festival.

Long running events include Gar Wood’s Polar Bear Swim, Tahoe Tap Haus Blizzardfest, Pete ‘n Peter’s Dog Pull, Milk Jug Curling and the Alaskan Open Snow Golf Tournament. View the full list of SNOWFEST Events.

Some past events in need of a host include the hot dog eating contest (or similar), snow tubing, a snow shoe race, wacky winter bowling, showing of Hot Dog the Movie (or similar) at your restaurant or business.

Come up with your own creative idea. Or contact SNOWFEST and we’ll work with your business or organization to join the festivities. Just let us know how we can assist.

The cost to host an event is $500 per event, $250 for a second event and $150 for non-profits. The event cost includes advertising before and during the 10-day celebration. You'll also be featured in flyers, on the SNOWFEST website, in newsletters, on social media, and in local press releases like Moonshine Ink, The Tahoe Weekly, and Sierra Sun.

Hosting a SNOWFEST event is a unique chance to promote your business or organization to local residents and visitors.

Event Host Terms & Conditions

Sanctioned Event Sponsors agree to: 1) Assume responsibility for registration, set up, clean up and ticket sales if applicable 2) Provide production materials and staff necessary for event 3) Mention SNOWFEST, and use official SNOWFEST logo in all advertising/publicity regarding the event. 4) Remit Sanctioned Event Fee to SNOWFEST. 5) Complete a post event survey. SNOWFEST agrees to the following: 1) Listing on SNOWFEST Pocket Calendar 2) Listing in Official SNOWFEST Program 3) Listing on Official SNOWFEST Website 4) Promotion through our Social Media Platforms. SNOWFEST reserves the right not to add this event to the calendar if it conflicts with another similar event previously scheduled, and/or if the requested event date is already spoken for. Sanctioned event sponsors/producers agree to indemnify and hold SNOWFEST its staff, agents, and Board of Directors harmless against any and all claims arising from or due to negligence of any kind. Because the success of SNOWFEST depends upon this event taking place, this agreement is meant to serve as witness to each party’s commitment to the above stated terms and conditions.
