Palisades Tahoe Town Race League Series & Mardi Gras - SNOWFEST Opener
Celebrate SNOWFEST with the kickoff of the 2026 Town Race League on Wednesday, March 4 with a Mardi Gras themed night of racing, costumes, and community fun. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are welcome to join this weekly series, running every Wednesday through April 8. Each week features a new theme, and the best-dressed racer wins a prize!
Event Details
Check-in table located at the base of the Exhibition Lift from 1:00pm–3:30pm
Race starts at 2:00pm
Two (2) runs per racer
Must be 18+ years old to participate
No racing experience or specialized gear required besides helmets; Helmets are required and a second line of defense. Make sure it is properly fitted, and the chin strap is fastened

Categories
Snowboard:
Pro Snowboard - for experienced racers and serious competitors
Amateur Snowboard - for riders racing for fun or with minimal experience
Skier:
Pro Skier - for experienced racers and serious competitors
Amateur Skier - for skiers racing for fun or with minimal experience
Town Race League Format
Best time out of two runs will be counted
Individual competition format
Racers select their class during registration
Bib numbers assigned weekly
Scoring
Points follow the World Cup point schedule. The best of two runs is used to determine your score.
Point Breakdown:
1st - 50 points
2nd - 45 points
3rd - 40 points
4th - 38 points
5th - 36 points
6th - 34 points
7th - 32 points
7th - 32 points
8th - 30 points
9th - 29 points
Remaining racers descend by one-point increments.
Teams
To register as a team, please submit your roster to townleague@palisadestahoe.com. The fee is $750 (equivalent to 5 races for 6 members), paid prior to the start of the season. Teams receive a $150 discount for signing up and paying before the first race on March 4.
Team Format
Teams consist of 6 members, including at least one female racer
Team captain is responsible for registering the team
Roster must include all ROLs
Team bib numbers are assigned and remain the same all season
Teams are not required to have a designated snowboarder
Team Scoring
Team scores are based on the top three individual point results each week (must include at least one female result)
Teams may pay weekly, but no new team registrations are accepted after the first race
Team captain manages all team coordination
Awards presented to the top three individuals in each league and top three teams at the end of the series
Final standings are based on your best 4 out of 6 races; the two lowest scores are dropped for both individuals and teams
Weekly scoring will be posted on the webpage
